Magnetic flap level gauges freeze over on winter nights, showing incorrect level readings. Is there any solution? Is insulation effective? Since these are level gauges installed on the soft water tank and deaerator that supply water to the boiler, they are quite important. False level readings can affect judgment and operations; in severe cases, they might even lead to a situation where the boiler runs dry due to lack of water, resulting in an accident. What should be done?
Use insulation or electric heating to maintain a certain temperature.
Use electric heating with insulation, or replace it with a magnetic flap valve equipped with a steam jacket; as a precaution, it’s also a good idea to add another type of level gauge.
Is your panel an anti-fog vacuum panel?
Steam tracing, electric tracing with insulation, or replacement with a steam jacket
We’ve used several types… mainly for redundancy; magnetic flip switches and electrical contacts were employed, and in addition a differential pressure sensor was used as well… It’s amazing – the magnetic flip switches even came with electric heating
It’s obvious from the look of it that the equipment is located outdoors; therefore, electric heating and insulation are necessary
