I’m just starting to work with DCS tag assignment. The suffixes that follow the tag numbers – for example, ‘R’ for normal operation and ‘F’ for faults – but I’m not sure about the others; there are many different ones. Is there any unified standard for these suffixes? I couldn’t find it. Could you provide a link to an explanation, or just tell me directly? It mainly includes things like current feedback, frequency feedback, frequency setting, remote/local control, and so on!
The tag numbers are not specified explicitly; they are generally determined based on the preferences of the DCS configuration personnel as well as the requirements of the client’s engineers. For example, for current, we add I after the tag number of the pump to indicate current; for frequency, we add HZ; for setpoints, we add SET. As for remote/local operation, it is indicated by adding Y
