Why make a hole at the bottom of the pipe to connect a pressure gauge? The pipeline medium is gas.
If there is fluid at the bottom, the pressure gauge becomes inaccurate instead
When there is condensation, the pipes are filled with atomized gas, and the temperature is very high
Store some liquid to prevent the high-temperature gas from acting directly on the pressure gauge. Not very sure; it’s just a guess
This is a flowchart, not an installation diagram; I’m not sure how to indicate any installation requirements if they exist.
This post was last edited by qugd on 2021-12-30 at 17:02 – allowing a small amount of fluid to accumulate inside helps to isolate the pressure gauge. A small amount of liquid does not affect pressure measurement, unless the diameter of the pipe is large enough; for example, in a pipe 3 meters in diameter with 1 meter of liquid accumulated inside. It’s a bit like gas dilution or directly heating the medium with steam through a jet.
The pressure gauge is located above the U-shaped bend; liquid can only exist in the U-shaped bend section, so this has no impact on the measurement. In fact, it even protects the pressure gauge.
I don’t see the EG injection shown in the diagram; does it mean absorption by injection? Generating negative pressure through injection to absorb exhaust gases? Installing it from the bottom allows for a more accurate display of the pressure within the system.
