The chemical engineering specifications mention instrument power supplies and instrument cables. May I ask, do electric valves count as instruments? Are the feedback and control cables for electric on-off valves considered instrument cables? Is powering electric switch valves considered instrument power? The specification defines the instrument power supply as the power supply for measuring instruments and control instruments. In one of the specifications for power plants, the definition of control instruments seems to refer to control valves

The control wires for electric valves are generally considered part of the instrumentation field. As for the power supply wires, it depends on where they originate – some come from the MCC room, while others come from the instrument control power cabinet. The voltage can be 380 or 220 volts; in some organizations, any voltage above 24V is classified as belonging to the electrical department. The specific allocation of these wires to a particular field can be determined through discussion.
Electric valves are part of the control system; within a facility, they fall under the scope of instrumentation work. In my opinion, they should be considered instrumentation
