1. Should the start/stop status of pumps and fans be displayed in the instrument data sheet? 2. How are electric control valves generally represented in the instrument data sheet?
Pumps and fans are not considered instruments at all~ For control valves, the parameters of the valve body itself and those of the actuator are generally entered.
1. It’s not necessary; these only need to be incorporated into the monitoring and I/O functions, and made available for configuration by the system manufacturer. 2. MV/MOV/MCV are all acceptable; define it yourself. MOTOR CONTROL VALVE: The difference from other types as listed in the data sheet lies in the parameters filled in for the type of actuator.
Does an inverter with interlock and a pump also not need to be displayed?
1. Motor interlocks need to be reflected in the DCS’ IO table and monitoring table. 2. The instrument data table is intended for instruments. 3. The naming rules for electric control valves vary; they can be denoted as FV, LV, HV, etc., depending on the controlled process variable, or they can also be represented as MV, MCV
The instrument data sheet is a description of the instrument. The start/stop and status of pumps and fans are not indicated by instruments, and therefore cannot be described using instrument data sheets.
