I’m seeking advice from experts: which standard should be followed for determining the opening location of CEMS systems used for online monitoring of chimneys? Is it GB/T16157 or HJ75?
We have a project where an expert suggested following HJ/T397-2007. Are there any differences in the conditions under which these two standards apply?
Please pay attention to the scope of application of the two technical specifications: for CEMS online monitoring, HJ75 should be followed; whereas for monitoring holes used in surveillance monitoring, acceptance testing, or comparison testing – that is, for monitoring that is more manual in nature – HJ/T397 should be applied.
CEMS implements HJ75; this standard applies to boilers in thermal power plants that use gas/liquid as fuel, as well as industrial and domestic boilers. Other industries can also refer to this standard until industry-specific standards are established. And the GB/T16157 we are referring to is mainly used to determine the location of the manual sampling/reference sampling ports
It’s better to ask the local environmental agency; after all, they are the ones carrying out the monitoring
Flue gas monitoring refers to the HJ 75-2017 Technical Specifications for Continuous Monitoring of Flue Gas Emissions (SO2, NOX, Particulates) from Fixed Pollution Sources. Current standards.
Do we even need to check the specifications for this thing? There are only two or three holes in total; what specifications are there to refer to? If it’s about alignment holes, that’s something related to the manufacturing process.
