Our company currently has a 600-meter digital signal cable, and we don’t know where the short circuit lies; we are looking for a user-friendly testing instrument. Thank you! Looking for recommendations

It’s a handheld trace finder; it’s not expensive – its price on JD.com is only around one or two hundred yuan – and it offers stable performance. Reconnecting the cable is the fundamental solution, but it has its limitations. Finding the location of the short circuit and reconnecting it is another option; it’s even easier if the short circuit occurs inside the control room.
The main part of the wires runs above ground, while some are buried underground. If it’s convenient to lay the wires, I’ll just do that without worrying about those wires
Use wire of the same specification, short-circuit one end, and measure the total resistance； Then measure the resistance of this signal line; based on the measured resistance value, it is possible to roughly determine where the short circuit lies. Using a trace finder sometimes doesn’t work very well for armored shielded cables.
The normal resistance should be around 12, but the measured value is 298Ω; it’s impossible to determine the location of the short circuit
