In single-tube light tracing systems, asbestos boards were previously used to separate the steam pipes from the instrument pipes; since asbestos is now classified as a prohibited material, what materials and specifications can be used as alternatives? No basis can be found in the standards either.
For heating with steam tracing pipes, the method I use is to insert a bamboo plate in the middle, creating a gap of about 3 mm. It works well.
Winter has arrived; pay attention to the heating of instruments. In particular, when activating the heating system, watch closely for its impact on the instruments to avoid any fluctuations.
Calcium silicate boards, rock wool boards, and fiberglass boards can all be used as alternatives to asbestos boards for insulation.
