"The maximum number of heating points for a steam tracing branch pipe refers to the highest number of points that a single branch pipe in a steam tracing system can provide with heating service. This value specifies how many terminals or devices a single branch pipe can supply with heat tracing, ensuring the effective and efficient operation of the system. This data can be found in Table 5.3.3-5 of the SHT 3126-2013 standard, which provides guidelines for the design of heat tracing and insulation for instruments and pipelines in the petrochemical industry. .
Each instrument that requires heating is equipped with a half-heating circuit; the number of such instruments corresponds to the number of heating points.
If the steam supply pipeline is large enough and there is an adequate amount of steam, then the number of heating branches can reach up to 10,000 or even 100,000, or more. It is merely limited by the diameter and length of the steam pipeline as well as the amount of steam, so an infinite number is not possible.
