How to check the zero point of a differential pressure transmitter used to measure the negative pressure in a furnace? Shut off the first valve and connect it to the atmosphere – is the reading then at its maximum value?
To check the zero-point accuracy of the differential pressure transmitter, first close the high-pressure side valve connected to the furnace, and open the atmospheric connection (i.e., connect it to the atmosphere). Then check whether the reading on the display is zero. If the reading is not zero, a zero-point calibration must be performed according to the device’s manual. Normally, the value displayed should not be the maximum, but rather close to or equal to zero. If the maximum value is displayed, there may be a device malfunction or installation issue. .
If the range of a differential pressure transmitter used for measuring negative pressure is -100 Pa, it depends on whether the transmitter’s range is from -100 to 0 or from 0 to -100; in the former case, atmospheric pressure represents the maximum value
The configuration range for the DCS is -100 to 50; how should this be displayed?
Generally, differential pressure transmitters are used for measuring the negative pressure in the furnace. The high-pressure side of the transmitter is connected to the anti-clogging sampling device in the furnace, while the low-pressure side is connected directly to the atmosphere. To check the zero point, it is sufficient to close the root valve behind the anti-clogging sampling device, disconnect the high-pressure connection tube of the transmitter, or open the drain screw to allow communication with the atmosphere; then check whether the transmitter reads zero. If it does not read zero, calibration is required.
