We are building a power plant; under the original control room, the cables need to be routed in such a way that electrical equipment such as distribution cabinets and frequency converters can be placed inside the room. In other words, we need to create a distribution room. If we follow the original plan for the cable trays, they will have to be installed by being pulled down from the roof inside the room. I really don’t want to install cable trays in the distribution room – I’m not sure what regulations support this approach

According to the Code for Electrical Design of Buildings, cable trays can be installed through walls in distribution rooms.
I might not have made myself clear; I’m referring to the instrument tray
I’m dealing with instrument trays; I don’t want to run them into the distribution room. I’d like to know what regulations support this approach

Firstly, no such specification exists that prohibits instrument cables from passing through the power distribution room; in fact, the control cables for many motorized devices need to be run from the power distribution cabinets or frequency converter cabinets in the power distribution room to the control cabinets in the control room in order to enable control. If you want to convince the owner to agree with your idea, you can consider the following points: 1. Refer to HG/T 20512-2014, the Design Specification for Instrument Piping and Wiring – this standard requires that instrument cables be kept away from electromagnetic interference, and it also specifies the required spacing between instrument signal cables and high-voltage cables when they are laid parallel to each other; 2. Safety: Distribution rooms are typically equipped with high-voltage equipment, while instrument cables operate at low voltages. Well, there is a strict rule: cables that are not related to the distribution room should not pass through it
Since the power cable comes from the distribution room, how can it be used without a cable tray? It can be installed along the wall or via a cable tray from the back of the distribution panel; in many cases, the cable tray is not visible from the outside.
You should provide the floor plan of the individual building, so that everyone can give you accurate judgments and suggestions.
