Requirements for straight pipe sections before and after the rotameter: The pipes upstream and downstream of the rotameter should have the same diameter as that of the rotor. If the piping conditions permit, it should be ensured that the length of the straight pipe section upstream of the instrument is not less than 5D, and the length of the straight pipe section downstream is not less than 3D. Note: Some manufacturer samples state that there is no requirement for straight pipe sections before and after the rotameter installation.
