Distance between the on-site cabinet room and the power distribution room

The design specifications for chemical process control rooms state that the control room should not be located in the same building as the area substation. Section 3.4.6 of the guidelines for on-site control rooms specifies that it is not advisable to share a building with the substation; if sharing is necessary due to constraints, shielding measures must be implemented. I would like to know what measures are required to install a building. We are working on an agricultural biogas project; in order to keep the cables as close as possible, we want the building to be adjacent to the plant’s low-voltage distribution room. The transformer in the distribution room is located on the other side, and we also aim to lay the power cables at a distance from it as much as possible later on. We have worked on power plant projects where the first floor serves as the substation, there is a cable hallway in the middle, and the third floor is used as the control room; this has always been the approach. So we thought that it might not be completely impossible to do the same in one building.
The specification states “it is advisable” rather than “it is required”, so it is not a mandatory requirement; generally, power cables and instrument control cables should be arranged separately

Many of the issues that arise during inspections are due to experts being overly strict and setting fixed prices; they simply declare something to be a regional power distribution unit. Therefore, to avoid future problems, the standard approach in design is as follows: 1. The control room or on-site cabinet room should not be adjacent to the power distribution room, meaning they should not share walls or ceilings, in order to meet the requirements outlined in the first part of clause 3.2.8 of the regulations ； 2. If adjacent placement is unavoidable, a double-wall expansion joint should be created in the plan view, and a cable tray should be installed in the elevation view; by meeting the requirements outlined in the latter part of 3.2.8, the situation can generally be explained.
Do you mean that in the specifications, the same building refers to a single room?
Wrong question – how do you understand the same building?
