Dear group members, may I ask what levels are generally maintained for ammonia nitrogen and COD in the greywater from your company’s gasification system? Are there any control standards? Coal quality varies greatly from place to place; does this also lead to significant differences in concentration control?

In the process package, the technical supplier conducts balance calculations based on the type of coal provided by the owner; therefore, the process package includes guidance control parameters for ash and water, such as the ion content in these substances. The specific control indicators vary from one unit to another; the person asking the question can check the section of the process documentation related to waste management. The control parameters provided in the process package serve as guideline values; however, in practice, due to changes in coal type and operating conditions, these guideline values may not be appropriate, and they need to be adjusted and optimized based on accumulated long-term operational experience.
Our indicators show that the ammonia nitrogen in gray water is less than 500 milligrams per liter, and the COD is less than 600 milligrams per liter
The value for the indicator is usually this one. No problem. But this value is the one specified for wastewater treatment. That is, the concentration of low-pressure graywater. As for reasonably extending the operation cycle and slowing down the scaling trend, more stringent and detailed regulations can be established based on indicators such as total hardness, turbidity, and suspended solids.
