On June 2, 2017, the first unit of China Petrochemical Zhenhai Refining & Chemical’s domestic first industrial application project based on proprietary water-coal slurry technology was successfully lifted into place. The Zhenhai Refining & Chemical Coal-Coke Hydrogen Production Project boasts three advantages: technology, cost, and environmental protection. The coal-to-hydrogen project utilizes the SE water-coal slurry gasification technology. It was included in Sinopec’s “Ten Dragon” scientific and technological research projects in 2015, with joint efforts made by Zhenhai Refining & Chemical Co., Ningbo Engineering Company, and East China University of Science and Technology; a total of 19 patents have been obtained for this project.

The coal slurry is fed through multiple channels to optimize dispersion, thereby improving gasification efficiency; 2. Optimizing the flow field inside the furnace to a near-ideal plug flow also improved the gasification efficiency. It still belongs to the water-coal slurry fluidized bed type; its fundamental characteristics haven’t changed essentially, right?
