I have a question~ I know that what flows back from the reductor is in liquid form, but for the finished product whose concentration meets the standards, is it ammonia solution or ammonia vapor that comes out of the reductor? In other words, does the fractionator still condense the ammonia vapor that meets the standards?
What comes out of the fractionator is a gas phase consisting of an ammonia-vapor mixture; it is only after passing through the cooler that it becomes concentrated ammonia solution of a certain concentration. The fractionator merely performs partial condensation, which serves as a reflux stream.
Is it ammonia vapor coming out? Is it still a gas-liquid mixture phase?
It is a gas phase, a mixture of ammonia and steam; the fractionator functions essentially as a heat exchanger. The condensed portion of the gas mixture returns as a liquid, while the remaining part goes into a cooler for further cooling
