Railway shipments and coal discharged at ports have increased significantly

This year, strong demand for coal downstream has driven a significant increase in railway shipments as well as the volume of coal unloaded at ports along the Bohai Sea region. In particular, there has been a substantial rise in coal shipments along the Daqin Line and Shuohuang Line, as well as at Qinhuangdao Port and Huanghua Port. According to statistics, from January to July this year, the Daqin Railway transported 246 million tons of goods, a 34.6% increase on a year-on-year basis. The Quanchi Line played a key role in helping to maintain an upward trend in the traffic volume on the Shuohuang Line, with resources arriving at Huanghua Port continuing to increase. In the first half of the year, the Shuohuang Line handled 144 million tons of coal, a increase of 10.27 million tons compared to the previous year. Since the beginning of this year, ports along the Bohai Sea have performed well, with coal shipments maintaining a rapid growth trend. From January to July this year, ports along the Bohai Sea shipped a total of 388 million tons of coal, an increase of 61 million tons compared with the previous year, according to the China Phosphorus Coal Industry Network.
