After deducting the flow rate measured at the flow meter behind the fan in the coking by-products processing unit, as well as the amount used for internal processes such as returning gas to the furnace, the remaining gas is sent to the methanol gas holder. However, the flow rate measured at the desulfurization unit differs significantly from the flow rate in the main coke oven pipeline after deducting the amount used internally. What is the percentage of impurities such as water, tar, crude benzene, and ammonia in the gas coming out of the fan, relative to the total volume of the gas?
First, check whether the measurement bases of the two flow meters are the same, and whether both have been converted to standard-condition flow rates through temperature and pressure compensation. Additionally, material balance is based on the principle of mass conservation; it cannot be calculated using volume flow rates
