What are the emission criteria for gasified wastewater in various units: COD, ammonia nitrogen, suspended solids, and total hardness? How much for each, and what is the basis for determining that?
These need to be determined by your safety and environmental department. Regarding the treated wastewater discharged outside, your factory conducted an environmental impact assessment during the construction phase, and all actions were carried out in accordance with that assessment as well as local environmental protection standards. For the process wastewater generated in your factory, you need to determine the analysis parameters and testing ranges for the wastewater based on the wastewater treatment process and the volume of wastewater to be treated. There are **standards** for wastewater discharged by enterprises, which can be found or consulted by your factory’s safety and environmental protection department.
The indicators vary from one region to another; for PH6-9, the COD level is between 100–130 mg/l, ammonia nitrogen is between 15–20 mg/l, color intensity is below 50 times, oil content is 5 mg/l, total cyanides are 0.5 mg/l, volatile phenols are 0.1 mg/l, and sulfides are 1.0 mg/l
The emission standards I’m referring to relate to the vaporization unit, not those at the exhaust outlet. Do you have such standards here?
The standards applied vary from place to place. In the same place, different industries have varying standards. Overall, look at the environmental impact assessment; if it’s feasible, submit it under the most lenient requirements.
We use biological treatment combined with advanced treatment processes (ultrafiltration, reverse osmosis, SMART). The advanced treatment processes are not yet in use; the target values are as follows: COD: ≤20 mg/L, ammonia nitrogen: ≤5 mg/L, suspended solids: 2 mg/L, total hardness: ≤125 mg/L based on calcium carbonate.
Our general emission criteria are based on the requirement that the chloride content in the wastewater generated by the process package not exceed 500; the other criteria are intended to help assess the risk of scaling in the gasification process
We require COD to be less than or equal to 800 mg/l, ammonia nitrogen to be less than 550 mg/l, and suspended solids to be less than 80 mg/l.
Was it taken into consideration during the design phase, or are there requirements regarding wastewater treatment during operation?
These metrics were considered during the design phase, but no samples were ever made； The requirement was put forward because the operation of the wastewater treatment plant was not satisfactory, and regular sampling began.
We also test once a week, and can test at any time if there are issues
