On August 28, China Coal Jiu Xin Chemical Company held the groundbreaking ceremony for the coke oven side canopy project and convened a kick-off meeting, marking the official start of construction for this project. The coke oven machine and coke side canopy project is one of the company’s key environmental protection projects for 2025; the main construction elements include the coke oven machine, the roof of the coke side canopy, dust removal ground stations, ash storage and transportation areas, as well as electrical rooms. Upon completion of the project construction, it will meet the environmental impact assessment requirements for the coking technology upgrade project. The total construction period for the project is 6 months; it is expected that the covering of the greenhouses will be completed by the end of 2025, with operation starting at the end of February 2026. The kick-off meeting clarified the key control objectives of the project as well as the coordination mechanisms for design, procurement, and construction, focusing on \"identifying integrity risks and strengthening ideological defenses\" ； Clarify the disciplinary boundaries and standardize the fulfillment of duties ； By strengthening supervision and accountability as well as clarifying responsibilities regarding integrity, integrity awareness education is provided to the participating units, and both parties sign a \"Project Responsibility Agreement\" with one another. The general contractor presents the breakdown of project construction objectives and the resource allocation plan, and delivers a statement. Representatives from the Coal Chemicals Division of the Group Company and the Production Technology Department of Shanxi Company put forward specific requirements regarding project management and process control. The meeting emphasized that all participants in the construction must carry out work in a safe and civilized manner. We will strictly implement the group company’s \"six threes\" safety management requirements, ensure that there are sufficient professionals in charge of various tasks, actively overcome challenges such as tight schedules, numerous critical periods, and construction during autumn and winter, rigorously verify the qualifications of construction workers, and clarify and enforce safety management responsibilities at all levels, so as to ensure the safe and successful completion of the project. Second, it is necessary to ensure project quality. In accordance with engineering quality management regulations, thorough quality supervision and control are carried out throughout the entire process, including material inspection, weld testing, and steel structure installation, to ensure that the project is completed to high standards. Third, it is necessary to improve work efficiency. Strictly follow the work processes for design, procurement, construction, etc., streamline communication and coordination mechanisms such as regular project meetings and correspondence exchanges, ensure consistency between project documentation and actual progress. While implementing proper supervision and oversight, it is also necessary to enhance service delivery to the client and improve cooperation, so as to accomplish tasks on schedule efficiently and ensure the successful operational launch of the project from the first attempt. Lingshi County China Coal Jiu Xin Coking Co., Ltd. was established on January 2, 2004, with a registered capital of 50 million yuan. It is a state-owned joint-stock enterprise founded through joint investment by China Coal Coking Holding Co., Ltd. and Lingshi County Jiu Xin Coal Washing Co., Ltd., and is located in the Duanchun Clean Energy Industrial Park within the Lingshi Economic and Technological Development Zone. Lingshi County Zhongmei Jiu Xin Coking Co., Ltd. currently has 4×72-hole JNDK43-99D single-heating type rammed coking ovens, 2 sets of wet quenching systems, and 1 set of coke conveying and screening system; it is also equipped with a coal preparation system, a chemical products system, as well as public utility and office systems. Investment Scale: The total estimated investment for the project is 1.77 billion yuan, with an EPC turnkey construction approach being adopted. Construction period: The demolition of the original 4.3-meter coke oven was completed in May 2022, and construction officially commenced in August of the same year. After more than 600 days of intensive construction, it officially began trial operation on March 31, 2024. On April 3, 2024, Blast Furnace No. 2 and the Coke Dry Quenching Unit No. 1 were put into operation successfully ； On May 2, Coke Oven No. 1 was successfully put into operation, marking the entry of the project’s main production facilities into full operational phase.
