Their respective meanings are: (1) Carbon conversion rate: The ratio of the carbon contained in the gas to the total carbon fed into the furnace, expressed as a percentage. (2) Cold gas efficiency: The ratio of the higher heating value of the gas to that of the coal fed into the furnace, expressed as a percentage. (3) Specific coal consumption: The amount of dry coal consumed per 1000 Nm3 of useful gas produced, expressed in kgCoal/kNm3(CO+H2). (4) Specific oxygen consumption: The amount of oxygen consumed per 1000 Nm3 of useful gas produced, expressed in Nm3O2/kNm3(CO+H2). (5) Oxygen consumption: The amount of oxygen required per unit weight of gasified material, expressed in Nm3O2/Tcoal. (6) Useful gas yield: The proportion of useful gas (CO+H2) in each volume of gas, expressed as a percentage. (7) Gasification intensity: The amount of dry gas produced per unit volume of reactor per unit time, expressed in Nm3/m3·h.
