I would like to ask how to control and what the requirements are for the quality parameters of coke dust incorporated into coal blends
When blending coal, the proportion of coke powder used should not exceed 5%, and it must be crushed to a fineness of less than 0.5 mm; otherwise, the strength of the coke will be reduced
It depends on your coal blending plan; coke dust can be used as a substitute for lean coal, but it has a high ash content and can cause cracks in the coke. The highest proportion reported in the literature does not exceed 5%, and I think it can be increased; we have conducted experiments in the laboratory. The particle size is controlled to be less than 0.2 mm.
Coke dust is used as a thinning agent; the amount required depends on the thickness of the gel layer and the proportion of coking coal.
To achieve the desired experience of “33”, three conditions must be met for the recombination: 1. The particle size of all materials used in recombination must be below 0.5 mm, with 80% of them ideally being below 0.2 mm. 2. The proportion of return materials should be reasonably set, based on the caking index of the raw coal; generally, when the caking index is between 60% and 70%, it is recommended to use 3–5% of such materials. 3.
