I have been working on a QC project recently, titled “Reducing Methanol Consumption in Low-Temperature Methanol Wash”. Let’s discuss this with everyone here first. 1) Methanol consumption in the low-temperature methanol washing unit of Haiyou Company. 2) What is the control temperature for the main washing process in the low-temperature methanol washing unit? 3) The methanol content in the wastewater from the methanol-water separation tower. 4) Methanol content in the exhaust gases. 5) Any instances of leaks at the site. 6) Has methanol content in the acidic gases been analyzed through sampling (we generally do not take samples)
The alcohol content in the wastewater is 50 PPM or less; I guess no samples are taken for acidic gases. If methanol is present, it can be determined based on the sulfur recovery process
The methanol content in acidic gases is generally not measured; if it is high, it will be reflected in the temperature inside the incinerator
Equivalent capacity: 600,000 tons/year; Methanol consumption: <10 tons/month； Main washing section inlet: -40°C, outlet: -10℃ ； Wastewater limit: 100 ppm, generally <10 ppm ； Methanol content in exhaust gases: 200-300 ppm ； No leaks or drips ； It is not possible to measure the methanol content in acidic gases due to their high H2S content.
1.5 million tons of methanol: 1) The main washing temperature in the low-temperature methanol washing process is controlled at -40 degrees Celsius; 2) In the methanol-water separation tower, the methanol content in the wastewater is kept below 0.1%. 3) The methanol content in the exhaust gases is approximately 0.035%. 4) The methanol content in the acidic gases has not been analyzed through regular sampling; several tests showed a value of around 0.8%
By \"main washing temperature,\" does it refer to the temperature of the methanol-poor stream before it enters the washing tower? Is -40 sufficient?……
The process for low-methane production is different, and so is the operating temperature. If you need to calculate the consumption associated with low-methane production, you can discuss this further.
