Dear marine friends, does anyone know which plants use MDEA for desulfurization and decarburization after the conversion of coke oven gas? Coke oven gas is generally quite dirty, containing large amounts of benzene and naphthalene – could this have an impact on the MDEA solution?
We use dry purification followed by MDEA decarboxylation; tar and naphthalene will definitely have an impact on MDEA
Pre-treatment is required; otherwise, it will affect the long-term desulfurization and decarburization effects
