Shi Binghua, General Manager of Xuzhou Mining Group Co., Ltd.; He Shenglong, Party Secretary and Chairman of Shaanxi Changqing Energy & Chemical Co., Ltd.; Qin Ronghong, Chairman of Jiangsu Suneng Import & Export Co., Ltd.; Gui Changtian, Deputy General Manager of Donghua Engineering Technology Co., Ltd.; Hao Kaiwen, Global Vice President for Gasification Technology Transfer at Shell Global Solutions International Pte. Ltd.; Li Changan, Global Vice President for Gasification Technology Operations; and Zhang Wenzhen, General Manager of Air Liquide Global Engineering Technologies Co., Ltd. and Beijing Luchi Engineering Consulting Co., Ltd., attended the ceremony and delivered speeches. Those attending the ceremony included relevant technical and business personnel sent by various parties. After the signing ceremony for the process packages, the owner of Changqing Energy Chemical, the patent holders, and the design team held separate meetings to discuss the process packages related to Shell’s powder coal gasification technology; meanwhile, other meetings were held to discuss the process packages related to Lurgi’s low-temperature methanol washing technology, methanol synthesis and hydrogen recovery technology, and methanol distillation technology. At the kick-off meeting, the block flow diagram BFD, the preliminary process flow diagram PFD, and the initial equipment layout were discussed; the design basis for the process package, the design and phased delivery schedule, as well as the coordination procedures were established. During the meeting, all parties engaged in thorough exchanges and serious discussions, carefully reviewing the design proposals before the patent holder began working on the process package design. This ensured that the patent holder had a full understanding of the owner’s ideas and requirements, thereby avoiding significant rework or modifications later on and laying a solid foundation for the conceptual design of the entire project. The successful holding of this kick-off meeting, with all scheduled tasks completed, marks the official full commencement of the 900,000-ton-per-year methanol production phase of Xuchang Mining Group’s 1.5 million tons-per-year methanol project. As the design contractor, Donghua Technology will work closely with the project owner and all relevant parties to ensure seamless progress in the project’s implementation, thereby making further contributions to Xuchang Mining Group’s methanol projects.
