The first-phase technical upgrade project of Yanchang Yulin Coal Chemical enters the commissioning phase Author/Source: Date: 2018-02-23 Clicks: 9 On February 12, the turbine, the key equipment in the 45,000 Nm3/h air separation unit of Yanchang Yulin Coal Chemical’s first-phase technical upgrade project, successfully underwent its initial test run. It reached the rated speed of 4690 rpm, and tests such as those for over-speed conditions were completed successfully; all technical parameters met the required standards, and the system equipment operated smoothly. The successful commissioning of the newly built air separation steam turbine marks the transition of the entire project from the construction phase to the commissioning phase, laying a solid foundation for the commissioning of various units in the first-phase technical transformation project of Yulin Coal Chemical. It is reported that the project is located in the Yuheng Coal Chemical Industrial Park in Yulin City, Shaanxi Province. Building on the first phase of production capacity of 200,000 tons per year of acetic acid along with related facilities, it will be expanded and upgraded to enable simultaneous operation of facilities capable of producing 200,000 tons per year of methanol, 300,000 tons per year of acetic acid, and 150,000 tons per year of oil products. The project design includes the addition of a set of units for water-coal slurry gasification, coal slurry preparation, ash water treatment, shift reaction, purification, and carbon monoxide separation.
