Recently, the construction site of the 600,000-ton ethylene glycol project at Tianye in the Shihu Tan New Materials Industrial Park of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps has been bustling with activity, as everyone is working hard to get the project back up and running at full capacity. Recently, the project preparation office has organized a number of specialized training sessions aimed at enhancing the skills of construction workers in various areas such as safety and management, so as to make proper preparations for resuming work on the project. To ensure the project resumes work on schedule, the project preparation office developed a detailed reverse scheduling plan based on the various key milestones in the project’s construction. The various technical teams strengthened communication, and by holding planning meetings and issue coordination sessions, they addressed and resolved effectively the various difficulties that might arise during the resumption of project work. At the same time, the preparatory office adopts a phased resumption of work approach, allowing those work sections or key projects that meet the requirements to resume operations first, thereby facilitating the inspection and management of safety measures. It is reported that 2018 was the final year for the construction of Tianye’s 600,000-ton ethylene glycol project. Once the project resumes, multiple tasks such as civil engineering, ground grid installation, external network setup, and installation will proceed in sequence. According to the reverse schedule, the project’s boiler section will be completed and put into operation on November 20 this year. At present, the project preparation office has taken all relevant factors into consideration to develop a comprehensive plan for resuming work; all necessary preparations have been completed, creating a favorable situation with simultaneous progress in multiple areas. The preparation office has now given the signal to commence full-scale resumption of work.
