In the Linde process for low-temperature methanol washing, the sulfur content in the purified gas is around 0.04 ppm; in another series of purified gases, the sulfur content is only about 0.01 ppm. The ammonia content in the lean methanol stream is 30 ppm, while the sulfur content is 60 ppm. Ammonia is also released from the top of the thermal regeneration tower, but the sulfur content fails to decrease. The sulfur content drops temporarily during the methanol replenishment process, only to rise back to 0.4 ppm afterwards. May I ask the experts how to solve this?
Incomplete regeneration; ammonia cooler is leaking
