In the methanol production process from coke oven gas, the sulfur content of the converted gas at the outlet of the coke oven gas preheater is above the specified limit. Meanwhile, the sulfur content at the outlet of the advanced desulfurization unit and at the outlet of the waste heat boiler (the inlet of the coke oven gas preheater) is within normal ranges. Could experts provide a reasonable explanation for this?
Where exactly, are there any areas where there could be leakage or intersection with desulfurization-free gas?
Considering that the sulfur content in the raw coal is above the standard, sulfur has been removed after precise desulfurization. For coal purchased generally or produced internally, it should be no problem to keep the sulfur content at 0.8% or lower.
This situation of yours isn’t right – the converted gas should first go through the waste boiler, then the coke oven gas preheater for the converted gas, and subsequently the primary coke oven gas preheater. It’s unreasonable for the gas coming out of the refined desulfurization process to enter the coke oven gas preheater. Take another look at the test results
