After the catalyst has been operating at high temperatures for a period of time and then is switched back to low-temperature operation, why can’t it regain its original activity? Why?
All conversion catalysts have low-temperature active regions; after operating for a certain period at a relatively high temperature of the catalyst bed, the low-temperature activity of the catalyst is lost
If it is a CoMo-based catalyst, reverse sulfidation occurs during operation at high temperatures, resulting in reduced activity
