Depending on the requirements of the syngas in subsequent processes, it is not always the case that lower is better.
Previously, in methanol synthesis, it wasn’t the case that the lower the CO2 level in the purified gas, the better; it was necessary to adjust it according to the requirements of the synthesis process. Because too low a level of carbon dioxide can cause the pressure throughout the system to rise sharply, resulting in a decrease in methanol production. If the adjustment is not made in time, venting at the back of the synthesis tower becomes necessary, resulting in significant waste. I guess the scheduling department will issue a fine.
Synthetic ammonia, methanol, ethylene glycol, etc., are all different; the lower the requirement for methanol isn’t necessarily better, as it is also used as a raw material for synthesizing methanol. For synthetic ammonia and ethylene glycol, it’s generally better to keep the levels as low as possible
Control the generation of water from CO2 based on the conditions of the synthesis reaction, in order to remove the heat generated by the reaction; subsequently, adjust the load of the synthesis distillation according to the operating conditions
