Progress on the Construction of Xinjiang Tianye’s 100,000 tons/year Ethylene Glycol Clean-Up Project Author/Source: Yaha Coal Chemical Industry Date: 2018-03-13 Clicks: 51 Recently, Shaanxi Huajian Engineering Company successfully completed the lifting of the heaviest equipment in Xinjiang Tianye’s 100,000 tons/year Ethylene Glycol Clean-Up Project – the temperature-controlled shift reactor. This temperature-controlled conversion furnace has a lifting weight of 170 tons, a diameter of 3 meters, and a height of 21 meters; it is one of the key equipment installed by Xi’an Company. It is reported that the company is responsible for the hoisting work of large-scale equipment for Xinjiang Tianye’s 100,000 tons per year ethylene glycol renovation project; a total of 102 pieces of equipment are involved, and to date 76 of these have been hoisted into place. The clean transformation project of Xinjiang Tianzhi Chenye Chemical Co., Ltd., which involves the comprehensive utilization of calcium carbide furnace gas and waste coke powder to produce 100,000 tons per year of ethylene glycol (project name), has been approved for construction by the Economic Commission of Shihezi City, Eighth Division, through Approval Certificate No. Jingbei 5 for enterprise investment projects. Construction location: The industrial park of the 8th Division Army Camp. Scale of construction: Add a new air separation unit, upgrade large-scale water-coal slurry gasification furnaces and other equipment, make comprehensive use of calcium carbide furnace gas and waste coke powder resources, and increase the production capacity of ethylene glycol by 100,000 tons per year.
