Successful Initial Power Supply to the Torch Cabinet Room in the Sijian Anzhong Project / Author/Source: Date: 2019-02-27 Clicks: 16 On February 24, the cabinet room of the torch unit in the Anzhong United Coal Chemical Project, which is under the construction of Sijian Company, received power for the first time, thereby buying time for subsequent calibration of the instruments. This represents another milestone, following the successful power supply to the substation of the torch unit on January 28. The achievement of this key milestone provides a solid foundation for the lighting of the torch at that facility on March 15. To ensure that the cabinet room of the flare system at the Zhong’an United Coal Chemical Project could be powered up as soon as possible and to buy time for subsequent instrument calibration, 37 employees from the Electric and Instrumentation Department of Sijian Company’s Zhong’an project team voluntarily gave up their Spring Festival holidays and stayed at their posts. They started working overtime on the third day of the New Year to speed up the work progress, and it took them only 7 days to complete the wiring of 112 cables. During the construction process, due to the manufacturer’s delayed shipment, two panels arrived late. The project team kept a close eye on the delivery status, and as soon as the panels arrived at the site, they organized personnel to start installing them right away, thus ensuring that the project schedule was met. On the afternoon of February 23, preliminary testing of the grounding resistance in the torch cabinet room was carried out, the working ground/protection ground of the instruments were verified once again, and inspections of the cable and busbar connections as well as the insulation within the cabinet were completed. On the evening of February 23, the project department organized all employees to conduct a thorough cleaning of the cabinets in the instrument cabinet room, to ensure that the power supply conditions met the required standards. At 9:00 a.m. on February 24, the power supply to the torch unit cabinet was successfully established for the first time. The successful power supply to the cabinet room of the torch installation this time created the conditions for the successful ignition of the torch on March 15th. It also ensured the smooth progress of subsequent construction tasks, laying a solid foundation for the completion of the Zhong’an United Coal Chemical Project by June 30th.
