What are the main industrial routes for ethanol production at present? Thank you!
Industrial ethanol can be obtained entirely through the fermentation of aged grain, at a low cost. Hydration with ethylene has a low cost, but low added value. Currently, there are also coal chemical processes that extract ethanol; it is not clear what the specific benefits are.
