Before igniting the converter, the following conditions must be met: the equipment must have passed its airtightness tests, the instrument interlocks must have been properly tested, and the deoxidation tank as well as all gas tanks must have been filled with water successfully. It is also necessary to confirm that 1) all burners and dampers in the converter operate properly, and that the air inlets are clean and free of any obstructions. 2. The converter blower and exhaust fan have passed the commissioning tests; they are ready for long-term, continuous, normal operation. 3. Clean all debris from inside the conversion furnace chamber. 4. All flanges, valves, valve bodies on the fuel gas pipeline, as well as the valves at the base of the main burner, the auxiliary burners, and the pilot lights for the auxiliary burners, along with the drain valve at the lowest point of the fuel gas pipeline, have passed the leakage test with no leaks detected. 5. The fuel gas system has been successfully purged with N2; the acceptance criterion is that the O2 content in the system is less than 0.5% (vol). 6. All remote control valves, control valves, and emergency shut-off valves on the fuel gas line have been properly calibrated and are ready for use. 7. Open all viewing ports, cold air vents, or emergency air doors of the converter fully; start the exhaust fan, and use air from the exhaust fan to replace the contents inside the converter furnace. The acceptance criterion is that the concentration of flammable gases in the flue gas from the furnace, as determined by testing, is within acceptable limits. Be careful to control the negative pressure in the furnace; it should not exceed the specified limit. 8. The eternal flame of the torch has been lit and is burning properly. 9. The fuel gas system is used to displace nitrogen from the pipelines; ignition can be carried out once the N2 content drops below 10% (vol). 10. The ignition gun has sufficient power and meets the ignition requirements; keep a spare ignition tool ready. 11. The communication system is reliable and smooth. 12. Start ignition according to the ignition diagram.
This summary is a bit rough and not very good
It was explained in general terms, and it can still be used as a reference
This is the process of lighting up a heating furnace, right? The procedures vary from one plant to another; it’s sufficient to understand the basic principles. Is it really necessary to write so much about it?
