If the bearing temperature rises after the centrifuge’s oil pump stops, will it cause damage to the bearing? What causes it?
Firstly, the function of the oil pump is to supply lubricating oil to various lubrication points. The three main functions of lubricating oil are to remove heat, to provide lubrication, and to eliminate impurities. The lack of lubrication indexing will lead to an increase, and the loss of these three functions will damage the bearing. For reference.
Why should the oil pump be stopped for the operating centrifuge?
Isn’t the high-level fuel tank working? In a normal control procedure, there should be interlocks in place; if there is a fault in the oil pump or its supply circuit, the high-level fuel tank should come into use to provide protection and cause the centrifuge to stop operating
It’s the steam turbine, right? Since the heat from the steam isn’t dissipated, the temperature of the unit will definitely rise. The oil pump is used for lubrication and to remove heat. Generally, once the temperature of the machine unit is equal to that of the oil, the pump can be stopped without any further temperature increase, allowing it to remain shut down for an extended period of time to prevent the shaft from deforming due to excessive temperatures
Typically, compressors are equipped with a shutdown interlock when the lubrication oil pressure is low. After shutdown, there is a certain coasting time during which an oil reservoir at a higher level ensures that a small amount of lubricating oil continues to flow to the bearings. Once the compressor has come to a complete stop, stopping the supply of lubricating oil will not cause damage to the bearings!
