The Chifeng Mingyang 1 million-ton green methanol project was launched. On October 13, the demonstration project for producing 1 million tons of green methanol per year by Mingyang Green Chemicals (Chifeng) Co., Ltd. was officially approved by the local development and reform commission, marking the start of this project and its accelerated progress. The planned construction period is from December 2023 to November 2025. The project registration notice indicates that the industrial project for Mingyang Green Chemicals (Chifeng) Co., Ltd.’s demonstration project aimed at producing 1 million tons of green methanol per year meets the industry policies and market access standards, and thus approval for registration has been granted. Please carry out the relevant work accordingly. Before commencing construction, other procedures required by laws and regulations must be completed before work can start. The specific details of this project are as follows: Project owner: MingYang Green Chemicals (Chifeng) Co., Ltd. Location of construction: Linxi Industrial Park, Chifeng Non-ferrous Metals Development Zone, Linxi County, Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia. Total investment: 675,197.99 million yuan, of which 675,197.99 million yuan comes from own funds; 0 million yuan from bank loans, and 0 million yuan from other sources. Scale and scope of construction: The total construction area is 186,255 square meters. Construction of new workshops, factory buildings (180,000 square meters), and other supporting facilities. The project is constructed in two phases, with Phase 1 involving the construction of a new methanol production line with an annual output of 600,000 tons ； In the second phase, a new methanol production line with an annual capacity of 400,000 tons will be built. Public information shows that Mingyang Green Chemicals (Chifeng) Co., Ltd. was established in September 2023 and is located in Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region; the company’s registered capital is 10 million RMB. The company is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Mingyang New Energy Co., Ltd. in Linxi County.
