On June 28, the signing ceremony for the integrated project of wind, solar, hydrogen storage, coupled with biomass to produce green methanol was held in Yushui County, Jinzhong City, Shanxi Province. This project was brought about through the signing of a quadripartite cooperation agreement by Xi’an LONGi Clean Energy Co., Ltd., CGN New Energy Shanxi Branch, Shanxi Jia New Energy Chemical Industry Company, and representatives of the Yushui County government. Wei Dong, Deputy Secretary of the County Party Committee and County Head, said in his speech on behalf of the County Party Committee and the county government that the successful signing of the cooperation agreement for the integrated project combining wind power, solar energy, hydrogen storage, and biomass to produce green methanol marks Yuhe County’s intention to make full use of LONGi Company’s industrial infrastructure, CGN Company’s resource advantages, and Jiaxin Company’s technical expertise. This will enable the establishment of a comprehensive partnership that spans from green electricity to green methanol, thereby accelerating the development of new forms of productive capacity and fostering strong collaborations. Such efforts will play a vital role in promoting the growth of the new energy industry and laying a solid foundation for creating a model county for the methanol economy. Since last year, Yushui County has been promoting green methanol as an industry that aligns with the county’s development prospects. This successful signing will contribute to the healthy and stable development of Yushui’s green methanol industry.
