In 2026, during the 25th National “Safety Production Month”, everyone is encouraged to prioritize safety and be capable of responding to emergencies; efforts will also be made to identify and rectify potential risks and hazards. -------------------------------------------------- Recently, the Lishu Wind-Solar Hybrid Green Hydrogen and Biomass-Derived Green Methanol Project, constructed by the Beijing Branch of China Chemical Engineering Third Construction Co., Ltd., officially commenced. The project is located in the Siping New Industrialization Economic Development Zone, covers an area of 48.54 hectares, and is scheduled to go into operation in 2027. The project is aligned with the **\"dual carbon\" strategy and the green development plan for the 15th Five-Year Plan period. It adopts an integrated model that combines wind, solar, hydrogen, and methanol production, creating a complete industrial chain that spans wind and solar power generation, hydrogen production through electrolysis, biomass gasification, and green methanol production. With 400,000 kilowatts of new energy capacity in place, the project will be able to produce 0.975 tons of green hydrogen per year; together with facilities for air separation, biomass gasification, and methanol synthesis, it will achieve an annual output of 197,200 tons of green methanol. This process makes clever use of biomass to address the issue of the carbon source for green hydrogen, enabling the on-site utilization of renewable energy and the recycling of resources. Upon completion, the project is expected to consume hundreds of thousands of tons of biomass raw materials per year, resulting in a reduction of approximately 300,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions annually, thereby delivering significant ecological benefits. The implementation of this project not only helps to optimize Jilin Province’s energy structure and promote the green and low-carbon transformation of industry, but also opens up new avenues for the sustainable utilization of agricultural waste. As a model for the large-scale production of green methanol, this project will provide valuable experience for the integrated development of \"new energy + chemicals,\" help facilitate the green transformation of the energy structure in the Northeast region, and contribute to the achievement of the \"dual carbon\" goals through the efforts of central state-owned enterprises.
