Recently, Danfeng Chemicals carried out technical upgrades to its coal feeding system, which made it easier and more accurate to adjust the ratio of coal powder to stone powder. This improved efficiency in reducing raw material waste and enhanced the effectiveness of flue gas desulfurization, thereby contributing to the company’s efforts in ensuring safety and environmental protection. In the past, when mixing stone powder in dry coal storage areas, the amount added was adjusted based on manual experience, resulting in significant errors that caused many instability issues in the operation of the boilers. Taking advantage of the downtime, the company carried out technical upgrades to the coal feeding system; it reconfigured the existing coal conveyor belt motors and power supply units, installed a new distribution panel on site, as well as two variable-frequency motors and flow and speed sensors for weighing purposes. This renovation of the metering belt has enabled an upgrade from manual batching to automatic batching, ensuring the stable operation of the boiler and enhancing the efficiency of flue gas desulfurization.
