Can domestic 380V 50HZ motors be used in the US 480V 60HZ power grid?
No, the insulation properties and bearing specifications may not meet the requirements; it’s better to have it customized, as motor manufacturers have specialized designs for export use.
Not only must the basic electrical requirements regarding voltage and frequency be met, but UL certification is also necessary

It is planned to use a 100 KW frequency converter connected to a 480V 60HZ power supply, with the output frequency set to 50HZ; this would result in the voltage dropping to 400V. The frequency converter would be connected to a main panel, from which all the motors would draw their power. Is this approach feasible?
Stop struggling; follow the rules. Leaving aside whether the plan will be approved or not, the export standards represent the first hurdle to overcome. Next, let’s talk about the power supply scheme for the motor: should the frequency converter serve as the main power source? It’s not done that way; there are specialized variable-frequency power supplies, which might be an option.

A cable is used to conduct current at its rated voltage; there is no requirement regarding frequency, but the induced voltages resulting therefrom do have frequency requirements. Typical low-voltage cables are 0.6/1 kV; they can easily handle 0.48 kV without any problems, and the 60 Hz frequency also has little impact.
