The list of cables designed recently seems a bit confusing. There are motor power cables: BPYJVP2-0.6/1KV3X10+3X2.5. Does the 2.5 mm² cable also need to be connected to each of the three phases of the motor? Should each terminal of the motor be connected to one wire of 10 square millimeters and one wire of 2.5 square millimeters? What does 3*16+2*10 mean then? How do I connect it? In 4*16+1*10, does the 10 squared value need to be grounded? I really can’t understand why it was designed this way – what’s the purpose? I earnestly ask all the experts here to help me figure this out!
I’m not sure about BPYJVP2-0.6/1KV3X10+3X2.5; same question. In 3*16+2*10, the phase wires are 16 gauge while the neutral and ground wires are 10 gauge; in 4*16+1*10, only the ground wire is 10 gauge, with both the phase and neutral wires being 16 gauge. The phase wire has a high current, so it needs to be thicker; the neutral wire carries unbalanced current, so it can be thinner; the ground wire is the thinnest of all.
BPYJVP2-0.6/1KV3X10+3X2.5 is a cable designed for use with variable frequency drives. The 10-square-millimeter wires are the phase wires; they should be connected to the motor’s U, V, and W terminals respectively, with yellow, green, and red corresponding to these colors. The 2.5-square-millimeter wire is the ground wire, and all three wires should be connected together to the ground terminal in the motor’s wiring box.
The wiring method for variable-frequency cables was mentioned above; if the cable has a shielding layer, that shielding layer also needs to be grounded at both ends. The latter two are generally power cables, with three live wires, one N wire, and one PE wire. The smaller one is the PE wire. The design drawings shall prevail.
