In accordance with the safety regulations, electrical safety equipment (such as insulating gloves, insulating boots, voltage testers, insulating pull rods, etc.) must undergo regular inspections to ensure they are in good condition throughout their period of use. Our factory has the relevant testing equipment. In the past, we would carry out the experiments on our own according to the requirements, keep records and ledgers, and attach labels to complete the task. Recently, the factory is conducting a standardization assessment, and they have specified that tests need to be carried out by units with the relevant qualifications. But they also cannot provide any basis for why tests need to be conducted by qualified entities. I’d like to ask everyone: **Is a qualification actually required for this?** ? ?

Here, it is usually done by maintenance units that have the necessary testing qualifications; for instance, voltage testers are sometimes sent to qualified testing companies or institutions along with other testing equipment for inspection

**Article 21 of the Regulations on the Management of Power Safety Equipment by power grid companies stipulates that such equipment must be tested by a qualified testing institution; if your company is qualified, then it is acceptable. From another perspective, since a test report is to be issued, it must be a report from a qualified entity in order to be **recognized**
But we don’t belong to a **power grid company; we are just a thermal power plant.
