The liquid-phase diesel hydrogenation unit has been in operation for only a short time, and the reaction temperature is already approaching the level it was before the maintenance. Measures that have been taken include increasing the pressure and the volume of circulating oil. Are there any further measures to extend the catalyst’s lifespan?
Replace it with oil of high quality to prevent significant fluctuations in operation! The adjustment amount should be slow!
As a catalyst operates for an extended period, loss of activity is inevitable; does it need to be regenerated after a few years of use? Is the reaction temperature reduced significantly after regeneration?
With the new unit, the reaction temperature was around 360 right at the start of use. After one and a half years, regeneration was carried out; the temperature was 375 before regeneration, and 373 three months after regeneration.
If the temperature difference before and after regeneration is not significant, obvious inactivation occurs

This is a newly installed facility here. Based on our experience from working in similar industries, it’s very important to control the quality of raw materials. Just as people need to eat proper food, these facilities also require appropriate inputs; eating unclean substances can cause problems

Additionally, trying to control the quality of the oil, increasing the hydrogen-to-oil ratio, and reducing the processing volume might yield significant results; if such effects are observed, it is likely that there is an issue of partial catalyst deactivation
