How is the hydrogenation depth for lubricating oil hydrocracking determined? At what depth are economic benefits high?
In China, it is generally 300,000 tons per year; currently, the equipment is inexpensive
For higher purity levels, high-pressure hydrogenation is generally used to fully saturate the aromatics and achieve food-grade standards. However, there are quite a few projects under development at the moment, and it’s hard to say what the benefits will be.
