What do the levels of oxygen, carbon monoxide, sulfur dioxide, and carbon dioxide in the flue gases from converter furnaces and raw material heating furnaces indicate?
A high oxygen level indicates a large excess air coefficient; a high carbon monoxide level suggests incomplete combustion; a high sulfur dioxide level indicates a high sulfur content in the fuel gas.
The carbon dioxide content is high, so the water vapor ratio is low.
