In normal operation of hydrocracking, how is it determined when to add sulfur, what amount to add, and what level is appropriate for controlling the hydrogen sulfide content in the recycle hydrogen? Thank you to all forum members for their answers
Hydrocracking does not require sulfur injection during normal operation; the sulfur present in the feedstock is sufficient, with the hydrogen sulfide content in the recycled hydrogen being ≮0.1%.
There is certainly enough sulfur in the hydrocracking feed; no sulfur addition is required during normal operation. You are referring to controlling the hydrogen sulfide content in the desulfurized cycle hydrogen, right? It is generally kept around 3000.
The raw material has a high sulfur content and low nitrogen content, so no sulfur is added.
We generally keep it at around 100-500 ppm, and the Topso catalyst does not require the addition of a sulfiding agent
During normal production, sulfur injection is not necessary; the purity of hydrogen can be improved by releasing waste hydrogen. The procedures may vary depending on the type of catalyst used. We currently maintain a level of 1000. Sulfur injection is required only when a new plant is brought online and the catalyst’s activity is low, in order to convert the catalyst from an oxidized state to a sulfided state. Sulfur injection usually begins at the furnace outlet at 180 degrees Celsius, with an initial dosage of 0.5 tons; this amount is increased to 1 ton once the temperature fluctuations subside. Afterwards, the dosage is adjusted up or down based on the measured hydrogen sulfide concentration

If the amount of sulfur injected is high, the reaction temperature will rise; pay close attention to any increase in temperature
