Should an anti-scaling agent be used in the hydrogenation of wax oil, and what is the appropriate concentration? How effective is it?
For the additives CHIMC-3130 and NALCO-EC3087, which are quite good options, the concentration at which they should be added is usually determined by the supplier of the skid units or the chemical suppliers; it is generally between 5-15 PPM. Considering costs, this concentration is usually not higher than 20 PPM. The main effect is to inhibit coking precursors. The effects vary; those of imported products are generally quite noticeable.
