As the title suggests, it is said that many design firms in China install numerous ports for injecting alkaline solutions into high-pressure pipelines in order to prevent corrosion caused by substances such as ferrous sulfide. I’ve only heard of this; I’ve never seen it myself! Is it appropriate to add so many openings to the high-pressure pipeline? Is it really necessary? Let the experts talk
Indeed, many hydrogenation unit pipelines are designed with numerous openings, but I personally don’t think it’s necessary. Measures are in place during start-up and shutdown periods to prevent the spontaneous combustion of ferrous sulfide. Moreover, these openings have a significant impact on the driving process; it is likely that many devices will ultimately require these openings to be welded shut. Please ask an expert for help.
