Summary of Work for 2017: Shift Leader of the Hydrogenation Unit Time flies by; 2017 has passed, and a new year, 2018, has arrived. Over the past year, as the shift leader of the hydrogenation unit, I worked under the proper guidance and strong support of the workshop leadership, adhered strictly to the company’s various management regulations, fulfilled my duties conscientiously, and successfully completed all the tasks assigned to me by the workshop leadership. I would like to report on my main tasks over the past year as follows: First, by focusing on safety management, I strived to be a leader in ensuring effective basic management within the company. Safety is of paramount importance in all work, and everything should be carried out with safety as the core priority. Since the beginning of 2017, the workshop has attached great importance to safety issues; it established detailed rules for evaluating compliance with five safety regulations and implemented them. Additionally, efforts were made to strengthen safety management, such as imposing strict penalties on those who did not wear the required protective gear when entering the workplace. At first, some employees in the teams did not understand this, so I patiently explained the reasons to them. Safety benefits each of us and is related to our own interests; the workshop’s strict management is a way of showing responsibility towards us. We need to make the shift from expecting safety to demanding it. At the same time, I take the lead and set an example in all aspects of my actual work. Team members are required to adhere to the following safety practices: 1) Develop a sense of crisis regarding safe production, always keep safety in mind, and establish good habits of discussing safety before starting work, paying attention to safety during work, and reviewing safety after work. 2) Strengthen inspection activities by checking the production equipment in operation, various process parameters, and the environment surrounding the site, ensuring that there is always someone on site to carry out regular inspections every hour during the device’s operating hours. 3) Strictly enforce the shift handover system; the person taking over the shift must do so 30 minutes in advance as required by the workshop rules. During the handover, the personnel involved must meet face to face to ensure clear communication, thereby preventing any issues that could affect safe production. 4) Personal protective equipment must be worn in strict accordance with the regulations; the importance of wearing such equipment was emphasized on numerous occasions during workshop meetings. By setting an example in our work, we constantly reminded the team members of this requirement. Over the past year, not a single member of our team has violated the company’s rules regarding this matter. II. Be dedicated to one’s job, perform duties properly, follow the instructions of the workshop, and complete all tasks excellently. In 2017, due to market conditions, our hydrogenation unit was in operation for only a short period of time – just half a year – with it being shut down for the rest of that time. During this period, follow the instructions of the workshop to complete the following tasks: 1) Completed tasks such as coking, unloading, and reloading of the pre-hydrogenation reactor ； 2) Carry out supervision and coordination for the construction and renovation project of the circulating water tower scheduled for July in the workshop ； 3) Completed the thickness measurement of the process pipelines in the hydrogenation and hydrogen supply systems during the shutdown period ； 4) Complete the purging and replacement of the process circulation water pipeline during the shutdown period ； 5) The purging and replacement of the circulating water in the 6 circulation water coolers of the hydrogenation unit during the shutdown period was completed ； 6) Complete the inspection, purging, and verification of steam pipelines and all heat tracing systems for winter anti-freezing and anti-condensation measures in the workshop ； III. Encourage team members to learn, continuously improve their own capabilities, and strive to enhance their work skills. By using modern office software, a WeChat group is established within the team; team members take turns posting at least 1–2 questions related to hydrogenation units in the group every day. Through a question-and-answer format, everyone can gain knowledge, with an emphasis on practical results. Throughout the year, the team attended 12 process training sessions organized by the workshop. After passing the practical and theoretical exams held by the workshop, the entire team ranked first in terms of performance, which further boosted the members’ enthusiasm for learning. At the same time, I also learned some theoretical knowledge from senior experts through online forums. Thanks to this learning over the past year, I have gained a great deal and broadened my horizons significantly. IV. Shortcomings in work 1) My grasp of professional technical knowledge and team management methods is not yet solid enough; in future work, I need to humbly seek advice from other team leaders, workshop managers, and colleagues to further improve myself ； 2) There is insufficient ideological education and care for team members, which also indicates inadequate management on my part ； 3) The effort put in is not sufficient; some minor details and aspects have not been handled properly. In future work, more attention must be paid to these details to ensure everything is done thoroughly ； 4) In actual work, the instructions given to the workshop are merely followed mechanically, without careful consideration; they are simply passed down from above. Efforts must be made to improve this in future work ； In short, I will devote even greater enthusiasm to my work in 2018, and I am confident that I can lead all team members, under the guidance of the workshop leadership, to make our due contribution to the group company.
